Local resident helps the local foodbank

Local resident Andy Derry has been raising money for the Amesbury Foodbank Centre!

Andy organised a ‘Skittles Event’ at the George Hotel in Amesbury and raised an amazing £285 to spend on Food items for the Food Parcels given to members of our community facing a crisis.

Any one of us could be hit by an unforeseen circumstance that puts a strain on our finances which is why the Trussell Trust set up Foodbanks all over the country to provide 3 days of emergency food to help people get back on their feet.

Carlie Lintell from Amesbury Tesco, Andy and Lucy Duffy (Salisbury Foodbank Manager) will be shopping at Tesco on Friday to turn the money raised into food items for people in need.

Many thanks to all those who support us with their own donations – the Foodbank relies on your generosity and we are so grateful!
